“This morning at around 1015 Hours, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at Georgia Bank and Trust, 311 Peach Orchard Road, in reference to a man being shot. Upon arrival, officers found that 60 year old David Harris ofhad been shot one time in the neck. The subsequent investigation revealed that Harris was exiting his vehicle at the bank parking lot when he was approached by two suspects, one of whom was armed with a handgun. The suspects demanded money and Harris was attempting to give the money to the suspects when he was shot for no apparent reason. The suspects fled west through the parking lot and into a neighborhood without receiving any cash.
Harris was making a business deposit for his employer, Fantasy’s Night Club,is being treated at a local hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
The attached photos are from bank surveillance cameras. Though the suspect’s face cannot be seen, his clothing appears distinct enough that someone may know of an individual who they’ve seen wear clothing like this. A reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects in this case is being offered. Callers are asked to callor the tip line at .
