Storms Possible Saturday – Updated with EMA Information

WNRR Augusta – A line of severe storms could impact the Augusta area late Saturday. Friday night a few strong storms damaged parts of Atlanta, including the Georgia Dome. Another line is expected to for late Saturday, and move into the CSRA. Stay tuned to AM 1230 for the latest live, local, complete weather coverage.

(Update) This information was released at 10:50A by Columbia County EMA:

The CSRA is in the “moderate risk” area for severe storms this afternoon.  Risks associated with this storm are hail, damaging winds, and possibly even tornadoes.   We can expect watches and/or warnings to be issued for our area later today, so please continue to monitor conditions and be ready to take protective actions, if needed.
