Developing: Aiken County In State Of Emergency

WNRR Augusta – The Aiken County Sheriffs Office is declaring a county-wide state of emergency, with a curfew beginning at 8pm Saturday Night, ending Sunday at 7am. All residents are being asked to stay off the roads while crews attempt to survey the massive amount of damage.

Additional Information –

*Bath Water District is without water service. Officials say a tornado damaged the water tower, and water service is not expected to return until Sunday.

*No injuries reported in Aiken County as of this posting, but authorities are searching for several people believed to be missing.

*Roads in the county are littered heavily with debris.
