Superintendent Discusses ‘Competition’ on Newsradio1230

WNRRWNRR WNRR Augusta – Dr. Dana Bedden, Superintendent of the Richmond County School System,  spoke on People and Issues with Helen Monday. WNRR was the first media outlet to have live interviews with the leader, even before he was officially appointed to the office. 

During the interview, Dr. Bedden discussed the competition between Richmond County and neighboring school districts for teacher pay. “I feel that Columbia County is a direct competitor for Augusta (Richmond County) and we need to be prepared to meet that competition with teacher pay” Bedden commented during the show.  

Bedden also discussed the recent victory for Glenn Hills High School, winning the state basketball title this past weekend.
