WNRR Augusta – Two young women were pulled from the Savannah River late Thursday afternoon, after their kayak capsized, authorities say. Rescue workers in two counties were alerted, after one of the boaters was not immediately found. The 22-year-old was later recovered downstream in Richmond County. Both victims are said to be in good condition, and only suffered slight hypothermia. Rescue workers say their life rafts played an important role in their safe recovery.
