WNRRAugusta – In her first radio interview, Augusta’s new District Attorney Ashley Wright talked about her new appointment and the goals she hopes to accomplish. Her appointment is a historic first for Augusta: Wright is the first female District Attorney for Augusta, and one of only 6 currently serving in the State of Georgia.
Wright was appointed to the post last Wednesday by Georgia’s Governor. She is the daughter of a local practicing Attorney, and has been involved with the District Attorneys office for a while. She replaces Danny Craig, who has been appointed to a Judge’s seat.
Wright appeared on People and Issues with Helen (WNRR 12:00-3:00PM Weekdays).
